The NGW is by far my favorite, but there are several really good Goldwing forums out there.

Indeed. You'll definitely need to change out the timing belts, if nothing else - and just for your piece of mind, even if the PO "recently had them changed." I also did my water pump while I was down there since it was leaking. All-in-all, it wasn't nearly as hard as you'd think. Carbs are kinda tricky too, but nothing you can't handle. Start a project thread here so we can follow along. Good luck!

You can get a "new to you" kit here for like $80. It has new belts, new thermostat, new oil filter, plugs, radiator hose, etc. Recommended!

You can replace few parts(i.e.timing belts) with car parts for way more cheaper

If you saw those belts from Saber Cycle please look at NGW and other GW sites and read about them.

I am not talking about Saber in a positive way. You should read about them before you buy anything from them. Look at NGW and Steve Sanders and you will learn all about them.

It's fun going through a whole pile of new parts isn't it. LOL
I just got the front wheel off the LTD now running down to the shop before they close.

What's easy on these bikes is the fuel pump, it's on the side, easy to get too. Very easy to pull shaft drive and service ie. fluids. Carbs are biggest problem. Loved my 77 naked Gold Wing. A gentleman in Denmark made an offer I couldn't refuse. So it's gone.
