400F Regulator/Rectifier
« on: October 08, 2013, 11:43:34 AM »
The P.O. used a Ford or Dodge or something reg/rec on our 400F. It was cheap and it works, but we want to go back to stock. She wants the stock airbox lid, tool tray, etc., and the only way to do that is to put the reg/rec back where it belongs.

I know Ricks has a good reputation, but what about this one? Nice price, but is it any good?

The ones from Ricks are about $80, for comparison.

Or, alternatively, answer me this: I have some stock regulators in my parts pile. I need to study the P.O.'s wiring a little more, but it appears he's using the stock black wire and white wire, with a red power wire run from the main harness and a green ground wire run from the battery/harness.
If I can find the stock green wire, I can just plug in a factory regulator (using the black and white wires he's using) and see if it regulates, right? That way I can test my parts pile regulator.
