Bartel CR750 oil tank

The Bartel CR750 oil tank has three 90 degree pipes at the top - are all three vent tubes? Are the two parallel ones for some kind of separator and the third one just a vent? And why three? I'm sure there's a simple explanation that I'm just not getting...

The parallel pipes (one should be larger in diameter) go to the breather box under the seat, one is for supply (venting) the other lets condensed oil return.
The other one is a breather supply from the engine.

Why does the oil system need a condenser? Most race systems I have seen just run a vent to either a container or a filter. Is there a need for the "breather box"? If so, what is the commonly used container, other than a $400 replica of a 43 year old canister?

..or could you "repurpose" an evaporation canister say from an RC51 to do this job? Or just a container with one line in/one line out? Or just lead all three lines into an overflow tank?
