Ride in the GTA
« on: June 21, 2005, 08:20:07 PM »
Who would be interested in setting up a regular (say monthly to start) ride somewhere in the GTA?  We can alternate between a West and East location to accomodate different participants.

Post here if you're interested, and if you have any suggestions for locations.

I would.... my bike should be all finished at the shop by next week (*crosses fingers) I just dropped my carb to them on Monday.

Then I will be ready to ride.

Yay!  What end of town do you live in?  I'm sure you've told me but I've forgotten.

Hey there, I would be interested in hooking up to ride sometime.
I live in the West end of Toronto, I have a '77 cb750F2.  And I just replaced the sprokets and chain and am raring to go.

Wow, sorry I've been away from the thread for so long.  This bloody hot weather and some travel has kept me off my bike (except for when I just can't resist!  may head out for a cool night ride tonight weather permitting).

So, Retrogrrl, bike running yet?  What's the deal?

Hey - sorry I didn't see this for a few days - let's plan something!  I could ride as early as this holiday Monday - I'm tied up all day tomorrow.

Yay!  Another local rider.  I'll call my friend with the CB750 and see if he's available.

Ok - so, we'll have to choose a date far enough in the future for everyone to schedule it, but not too far!

Suggestions?  I'm ok most weekends.  The odd Saturday is a problem.

I'm from the West end (Stoney Creek), we could get together in the Mississauaga area and head out to the Halton Hills.  Great roads, scenery and small towns to stop for coffee...

To start things rolling - lets target the weekend of Sept. 17, 18.  Open for thoughts and ideas...

Hi there,

I would love to go riding sometimes together, Halton Hills sounds great!  I am in Oakville.  It would probably have to be on a Sunday though.

Let me know,

Andreas

After suggesting the 17 or 18... the weekend ended up being book with other priorities.  What about next weekend (24, 25)?

I know I'm in.  My wife owes me big time after leaving me at home with my 4 year old for a week  ;D  I've earned enough points to last the rest of the season.

Here is an idea...

This Sunday, Sept. 25 will be the TOMA Ride for Burned Kids.  The ride starts near the 401 & 427 and finishes at Hamilton's Bayfront Park.  Lots of fun, prizes, bikes and a worthy cause.  It would be fun to a have a pack of SOHC4 rolling down the road.  Registration begins at 8.30am on Sept. 25th at the Sears Parking lot at Islington and Rexdale. Riders will start departing at 10.00am

Sounds like fun guys.. I can't make it... I have the opposite deal... I am a Mom and have my daughter on weekends.  I would be up for a ride between Sun night after 7 and Thursday night.

Enjoy the Halton Hills... very nice.  The fall colours are about to hit.

Looks like I missed that ride for burned kids.  I am reading this at 4:30pm and it's done.  Too bad, it sounded like fun.  I was out a couple weeks ago for the 'Burlington Rotary Club First Annual Motorcycle Charity Ride' and it was good fun.  I just felt a little out of place with all them Harleys.  Only one other older Japanese bike.  Would be great to ride with others with similar bikes.  Hope to get together soon.

Thanks for the message Bryan... I'm starting to put names to faces now.  Found a few retro riders here in TO, will have to boot out for a ride next week, this week is mental for me.  Anyone else that is interested just msg me here.
