Hi all

right I think im getting there now

dulugged frame / tank indents

fitting a USD GSXR front end at weekend spoke wheels black rims
battery in seat

now to the tyres, what's your thoughts on trail style block tyres for a café / tracker look a bit off the wall with say a big chrome peaked headlight

looking at a 4" x 18 rim on back with a 130 tyre & a 2,75" x 21 front with a 3" tyre will these fit ok with no fouling issues ?? please let me know

let me here your thoughts on tyre style etc

cheers Andy

I am using the same tires on my 550 build I will get out and look tomorrow but I think my rear tire is smaller not a 130..

Just my $0.02.  I think it needs to lose a little more height.

I'd prefer to see a seat hump that mimicked the shape of the tank at the rear.  Imagine cutting the end of the tank off, then plopping it on the rear hoop.also, I think it slopes to much from the pan to the hump. The lines don't complement your bike (and I'd think it would not be comfortable at all to push your pockets against).

Just my $0.05 worth.

thanks for the input guys

I will take an inch off the height & line the back seat pad slope up with the diagonal frame tube so it carries the angle through & mimic the back end of the tank for the curve

keep you posted thanks for the ideas Andy

Excellent job on your restoration !! I read in your post that you found a decal for the master cylinder lid . Have looked in several sites and could only find it in a kit . Did you find this separate ?

Draw it in as close to the neck as possible, and very close to lower tree..jmo.. Makes it look like part of the fork, rather than added on ..
And if you paint it color of tank, the bike will look better to the eye from the side, ie the color tapers off a bit, vs looking cut off at the forks. Bezel could be chrome or paint..again , just my opinion...

I think I'd wait before adjusting the light.  What about your indicators, fenders, bars and gauges? Until you mock up those items, you can't really tell about the balance of the bike visually.

If this were its final state, I'd say it's too bolbous too. But throw on your bars and other items to have a look yourself, then make a determination.

The chrome against the forks and white wheels then prime red tank makes everything look "de-tached". But final assembly it might be right where it should be... Just a different opinion-

Yes. 750 shocks will fit, they are just a little longer; something like 19 or 20mm.
