Cb550 engine numbers

Hi guys

The numbers on my engine say cb550E 2022002 does anyone know what model and year bike this came out of? I have looked on here and carnt seem to find anything

Thanks for the info, I have had a look at that table already, I just don't see what makes it a 77, the number isn't the same? Yeah there's a 2 but it's not identical is it?

If your numbers fall somewhere between 2000007 and 2100001 you have a 1977.

Ok thank you for clearing that up for me, any ideas were I can get oem parts for these engines? Pistons, valves and things?

Your Honda dealer can get lots of parts, but there are many that just are no longer available OEM.

Most dealer websites have links to on-line parts fische. So you can look up a part and get the Honda part number. Then just Google the number and you will likely come up with multiple sources.

I need new pistons and rings, there's a set on eBay but it says there not suitable for a k3 model, anyone know why? Or what the differences are? What parts or interchangeable etc? Is this motor deffo a k3 and not a super sport or anything? There seems to be a few models made in 1977
