Confused about which sparkplug coil fire which cylinder
« on: April 13, 2014, 05:36:37 pm »
Hi all,

My sparkplug wires are numbered. Each terminal has 1,4 and 2,3. Do the numbers represent which cylinder to fire? Do I just put them from left to right(1 2 3 4)? My bike is a 1975 cb750

Yes.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Yes, as seated on the bike.

The coil fires two sparks every time, but only one piston in the pair is in position to use the spark.  That said, you can swap 1 and 4 spark plug cables  and also 2 and 3 spark plug cables.  It helps with trouble shooting and such.
