Got the trim from SohRons tip, "Openspc" on ebay, it hasn't arrived yet but I trust SohRon's advice.

Photo shows trim is nice and deep not like the first strip I bought very shinny strip, more like a strip you'd use on a car door.

Buckles o think came from 4 into 1.

You should also check out gumtwo as a seller on ebay for seat covers. Great quality and high ratings! I bought a seat cover from him/her for my 550.

I have used gumtwo, not sure about the 550 but the 500 has that odd ball cover with the cover and chrome as one piece. There is a guy selling a very close replica but the price is outrageous. Ill take a look at what you guys are getting and suggested.

Got plenty done on Saturday, finished lacquering all the cases, bogged the tank where it's been welded with a new piece put in and got some painting done.

the turn signal mount is different, I believe the rail you show is from an earlier model that uses the smaller signals. There was a bracket that slips over the mount. The signal mount is for the larger later signals.

Thanks MoMo I'm sure you're right, I got the rail from the U.S., a member of SOHC, I'll have to get the correct pats to suit.

The small black mount is UK type which does not have the rear grab bar like the US. For a parts list try Motogrid

Bryan I just checked out English export CB500K0 on CSMNL and it shows the same rail as I have and the Black Mounts, it's hard for me to see where they mount onto the rear?
Do you have any photos?

Got a fairway with the restoration of seat,, new rubbers underneath and waiting in the trim SohRon suggested, should be here next week. Still more to do yet.

Very unhappy with the vinyl seat cover from JoeMama on eBay, Honda logo not level, seat stitching not square. I've sent a complaint to JoeMama, buy at your peril.

Now to figure out how to put the seat lock back together.

All the rezinced carby parts are back, next rebuild carbies, get wheels tried and new rubber.

best thing to do with an Ebay problem is contact the seller. If he does not respond, or respond unsatisfactorily, then file an item not as described with Ebay-they tend to side with the buyer....Larry

Mick, the UK did not have a grab rail just a small handle on the LH side to help you get the bike on the mainstand, same part as 750.

Bryan thanks, I couldn't find it using my iphone but I used the computer and see what you're talking about, unfortunately I still don't have the stems shown on the schematic.
I have the little black ones (see photos above) and they don't fit the grab bar I have.

Just looked at the photos of the seat, it's still got along way to go before it's finished.

Yes that's right,
Bryan, somehow I think we're saying the same thing differently and thus the confusion.
I'm using the blinkers that go on the rail, thus the stoppers L & R and the stems as per the schematic, I'm in the process of buying the parts.
I still don't know how to mount the little black indicator mounts, I can see them on the blinker schematic, but not where they mount? And I haven't seen a photo from anyone where and how they bolt onto the frame.

Back from the chromers - yahoo!

Can someone advise re truing the wheels, ok with lateral adjustments but the vertical adjustment is a struggle the wheel is out by about 1/4 inch.
The rim is obviously out of round and I need to loosen one side and tighten the other. I have part 1/8th inch of some spokes sticking out the nipple and will puncture the tube. I suppose I could always file off the offending part, but I would have thought the spokes should all be approximately even when tightened.

Q. Will I be able to get it true with 1/4 inch out of round?

Swinging Arm bolt and nut looks beautiful.
