Do they say you can use the stock gauges or youre wondering if it's possible? I would love to keep stock gauges.

Doubt you can use them. Look at the pictures, do you see mounting ears for them? You probably gotta fab a bracket

There are these:

I still think a bracket is needed though.

Looks like you could use stock bracket with the additional parts
Just send them an e-mail, they will let you know

Why would you buy from dime city? Wouldn't you rather buy from someone....knowledgible? FWIW DCC is not a mfg of anything and if you look hard enough I bet you can find whomever is making them selling them cheaper.

I'm pretty sure they are Ripple Rock Racing/Billet Custom cycles's clamps, but not 100% positive:

I sort of agree. I buy from DCC, have spent a couple bucks there but they sell a ton of remarketed parts. Most, if not all of them EMGO brand stuff can be found a buck or two cheaper other places, other stuff too. I buy from them when I am looking for specific things and a couple things at once.

They sell ALL remarked parts. Like I said, everything they sell can be found somewhere else. I don't understand why anobody would want to buy emgo parts at all, let alone at a higher price.

In the case of small batch mfg things, sometimes it is better to deal with the source than a retailer. Either Dime City is buying the parts in advance to get a discount, or placing the order when you order it. If they are buying in bulk then you are getting a premade part, which isn't a bad thing unless you need a special accomidation. If they are placing an order, then all you are doing is playing a big game of telephone where you ask them and they ask the mfg.

I did notice they were $2 cheaper on the gauge mounts than ripple rock (for the same mount). You could ask Ripple rock for a price adjustment and if they don't accomidate you then by all means buy from DCC.

I happen to think they have a decent business model. I just wish they new the difference between #$%* parts and good stuff and would spend their time making the small batch, well made stuff more available and drop the #$%*ty emgo pods. I'm sure they move a ton of those things but I personally detest sellers who value the sale more than they value good customer experence. In my mind every emgo pod they sell is just them taking advantage of someone in this hobby (usually a noob).

I appreciate your feedback but instead of crapping on DCC, why not answer my question?

Because I gave you a link to the original mfg of the part (99% sure it is the same company) and suggested you talk to them for the ultimate definitive answer. I gave you the tools to fish instead of giving you a fish.

do you need it again?
here it is:
http://bullitcustomcycles.com/products/ripple-rock-racing/

If you browsed their site, you would see better pics (although the DCC site does show the brackets bolted in place) of their products than on DCC and also better descriptions. In the pics you would see that all top clamps are drilled for the (sold seperatly) gauge mounts and their description confirms this:

"It's easy to install, leave it clean or bolt instruments or ignition to it. You can even leave your complete stock gauge set together and simply switch out the top triples. The mounting bolts slip through our machined bosses and are tightened down with nuts just like on the stock piece. "

So in a way I did answer you question, you are just to lazy to click the link and read. Or do you need a t-shirt and a sticker that badly to feel like you are in the scene?

Final note - I did dnotice that Ripple Rock updated their prices and there is a $10 price increase while DCC has them listed at last year's prices ($129 vs $139), so if they are honoring those prices it is probably better to buy from DCC until their supply runs out or they figure out their pricing is outdated. But any questions I would still ask the mfg.

Let me add one more thing - the under brackets are for the 1969-1976 style factory gauge mount. I do not know if the 77-78 guages use a differently spaced mount. It might be wise you contact the mfg and ask them 1977 specific questions. Have the stud spacing just in case they need it.
