Warning to Canada
« on: August 25, 2006, 04:04:48 PM »
This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned Canada that if military action against Afganistan continues, Taliban authorities will cut off Canada's supply of convenience store managers.  And if this action
does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell customer service reps.

It's getting ugly.

Talking of cab drivers, I examined a fellow the other day, fresh off the boat from India. Couldn't speak two words of English, but is going to become a taxi driver in our fair land.

I tell you what, they can take all the telemarketers, customer service reps, etc. back!  If these asses can't speak English, how can they propose to help me with my PC, or harass me for payments?  If the bill collectors are gonna be worryin' me to death, they better at least do it in a language I can understand!

Don't know if any of you guys saw it, but on some show (30 days, I think) a guy whose company got outsourced to India followed along to try to get his job back. It was wild. Apparently being a telemarketer is some what prestigious there. Once hired you have classes to learn to sound more American...bizarre....

What's worse is when you have a civil servant in your own home government whose command of Engllish is, shall we say, basic! Ah the joys of equal opportunity employment. Welcome to Canada.
