HEY! I'm new...the Newbie FAQ told me to...
« on: August 29, 2006, 09:17:06 AM »
Hey all,

I was reading the Newbie instructions and it told me to introduce myself.

I'm around the Portland, OR area.  I've been riding for ~9 years.  I started
out on a '92 CB750 Nighthawk, man I miss that bike. Then I had a honda
cruiser and decided it just wasn't for me.  That's how I came to own my
CBR600RR, which I love.  Now, the wife is getting interested in riding and
I've always wanted a vintage style cafe racer.   So, I'm on the fence between
building a custom, or choppin a old CB.

Ran into this forum doing research about SOHC bikes.

After seeing the Rhino 3d rendering images, I getting closer to the build my
own custom from ground, I mean frame jig, up.

I'm an electrical engineer, currently working for the worlds largest chip manufacture.
Been doing this gig for the last 5 years.  Thinking about ditching the desk job to
build cafe racer replicas.

That's about it, I'm a motorcycle junkie like everyone else here.  It usually consumes
my free thinking space.

Oh, and my user name means...fanatic for fanatic, der.  And CBR, cause that's my
current mistress, my CBR.  SO, jam them together and you get fanatiCBR.  For somereason
the case was dropped when I registered.

Cheers-
