honda xl175

curious as to what other motors are similar in design and shape to a honda xl175?  i have a 76 that needs motor, thinking maybe there is another bikeout there thats close enough to fit.  not interested in piecing togther a motor off evilbay.

Does it have a single downtube in the front? Maybe an XL250 or 350.. smaller they made an XL125 & 100.. and for those you could probably use a CB or CL version - if one fits, they all should.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

I think the XL185 is the same...just a bored-out XL175 from what I've been told.

XL100, XL125, XL175, XL185, XR200 should all be basically the same motor with different bore and stroke.
It is possible that the 175, 185, and 200 are taller overall, thus, the smaller ones may or may not mount up.

Also, CB100, CL100, CB125S, CL125, SL100, SL125 all are basically the same motor as the same-displacement XL models.

Honda ATC 3-wheelers in this size range are likely good candidates too, but, may have pull start instead of kick-start.

There is a 200 CC Lifan motor which is a clone of this series of motors.   It should fit too.
