possible 73ish engine rebuild
« on: October 04, 2013, 03:56:58 PM »
I am trying to decide if I will pull my engine apart to give it a thorough cleaning. It ran great before I took the bike apart, started on the first kick using my hand.

Having said this, I would like to find out if there are any members in Houston who would like to lend a hand, criticize, laugh when something does not go as planned. If I do end up rebuilding, any help, either experienced or not would be greatly appreciated.

Hey nphlyt.....do you know Chris at the Blip Workshop? He basically runs a co-op repair shop and is a great guy. I traded some engine cases and he is rebuilding a motor for his CB750.

Would like to see a pic of your Allstate, I had one years ago.

Lastly, are you going to the Harvest Classic in two weeks? We'll be there.....

I now have 2, the one at my house is listed in my signature, and one that my wife's cousin bought one for me that he may have restored in Austria. If you send me an email, I will send pictures. jimrob69 AT gmail DOT com.
