I attached the frame back to Red and lined up the third wheel.

I use a magnetic laser beam on brake disks to check the third wheel toe in.  Works really well.

Took it down the road and back, it rides reasonably straight.

This morning I connected and bled the third wheel brake.

I also found out that the caliper bracket bolt has to be flipped around - but the brake line is in the way.  Oh well, better to solve it all now and not on the road with a flat tire.

Today I did more brake bleeding.  I rotated the hack caliper to 12 o'clock and pushed two reservoirs of brake fluid through it.  Now it really stops.  The pedal movement is limited by one of the braces but I think it will work to my advantage, I don't ever want the rear/hack wheel to lock up.

When I step on the pedal I can see the swing arm swing up, the shock air pressure is now 25 psi.  I will fine tune when the tub is installed.

Prokop, can your rear brake pedal now achieve almost 50% of the stopping power without using the front brake lever?
Can you keep the machine rolling straightforward with the rear brake alone ?

Sidecar will never brake like car with ABS, you have to be ready for corrections but in this setup the forces I have to deal with are very reasonable.

Do you think your front forks are stiff enough;is the front brake strong ?

Those dual disc look great..

Do you have space behind the seat of the sidecar for some luggage ?
I have a friend who used to own a Vintage R90/6 and it was connected to an extra wide Auburn sidecar.

The dual disk front is factory 78 SS.  Shocks -  might upgrade rea shocis, they seem to be bottoming out too easily.

Yes, the back of the seat has a lock and there is a space behind it.  The lock is shot but I wll get a new one when I go overseas.

Matter of fact, yes.  They put them on Velorex 563 now - mine is 562.   Velorex USA had it as a part.  My first plan was to adopt 750 turn signal and brake/tail but this is better.

Nice job, Prokop!

How do you like driving it?

Years ago, I bought a CB550 project and it came with a sidecar.  At the time, I had nowhere to store it and it sat outside in the elements for a short while, which I hated. Decided to sell it, listed on Craig's and sold the same day, couldnt believe the response I received for guys that wanted it!
[prolly could of sold it for more but why be greedy?]

Thank you, Steve

Love it. It's fun and it gets a lot of attention :)

But you are working it all the time, unlike the autopilot i can do on single bike.  It's tuned to go straight on reasonably flat road - if the road has crown you have to hold it to stay on the road. Left and right turns are different and you need to shift your weight sometimes.

Also mileage is lower, partially because of zero leaning.
