Can i use my 1981 cb900c coils on my 73' cb350f?  I know i already have a fitment problem but will they work is the question.  Or would you  try to replace the wires on the original 350f coils by drilling them out.

Aren't those 2.2 ohm primaries, rather than the 5Ω originals?  Better add some resistor if you wnat point to to have any life and you want your battery to get recharged.

Drilling the coils will almost certainly destroy them permanently.  There is a wire inside that you need to connect to electrically, and a drill won't avoid chewing that up.

What would be my best option.  The leads are so brittle after 35 years in a shed

NGK makes wire splicers.
Cut them shorter and splice.
