Hey Guys,

http://4into1.com/genuine-honda-fork-tube-bolt-35mm-90123-300-000-cb450-cb500-cb550-cb750/

I bought these top fork bolts for the cb500 forks I'm running on my 550. The website states it compatible with the 450 all the way up to the 750. It is the correct threading for the fork tube but it is not threaded for the damper rod on my 500 forks.

How essential is having this nut thread into the damper rod? I see no issue in functionality, what I can understand is that if I for some reason did a wheelie, the lowers could pop out with the wheel.

Any one using there on there 500 forks?

Thanks,

The metal is not hard and the thread is standard so just drill and tap them to take the damper rod, And yes if you get the front high enough the sliders will fall off, BUT worse they dont have to fall that far to jam!!

Bryan's right. Accident waiting to happen. I'd send them back and buy the correct ones.
