Hello from Charlottesville Virginia
« on: October 25, 2013, 03:55:51 PM »
Picked this up yesterday.   Was on this forum as a guest for a while and it helped me narrow down what I was looking to find.  I have not yet decided full restore or a cafe.  Bike is clean, and about 8,000 miles.  I just had to get back to riding.    Last time I did any serious riding, this thing was probably rolling off the assembly line.   Tried for state inspection today.  Wouldn't pass because signals did not blink.   Came back home, researched here and viola.   Installed one new signal flasher from Autozone, (a Tridon EL12 2 prong 12Volt) and VIOLA, signals blink away as does the lovely yet annoying buzzer.   Will ride until it turns cold, then tear it down over the winter.  What it will be, once its built back up, is yet to be determined...Hopefully not a basket of parts and an unfinished "project" in the classifieds section.
