Nitrous Oxide fogger nozzle location, CB750
« on: October 29, 2013, 10:10:00 PM »
Just curious where any of you have placed your nitrous fogger nozzles on a CB750. I did a quick search here but saw nothing legitimate. Thinking about going directly into the intake on the head but am also considering the boots for easier access.

Any one have a picture of their installation on a SOHC??

Thanks,

The only one I've seen - put the fogger in the pod air filter top (farthest away from the carb inlet).

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page Frank...you can see how the finning was milled away on the bottom of the intake tracts. Just don'remove as much material to give you more thread bite. http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=109584.300

On Weber manifolds, just drill and tap..
On stock carbs. Can you put anything into the synch screw holes ?  ? or maybe a bad idea..?

Thanks Mike. Not seriously planning to add nitrous to anything yet. I'll need a much stronger bottom end before contemplating spray on an SOHC.

Waiting for Bill to finish that stroker build so i can follow his lead. THEN, n2o here we come.

I did the same. With 18 and 21 jets in each carb it made about 50+hp and I broke three transmission in one season, but I was about 250lbs

Did either of you use a progressive controller with a timing retard box or go 100% off a button or timer??? I intend to install a progressive controller, delay the nitrous off the line ,start at 25% and ramp it up down the track as I pull timing out by stages through gear shifts by gear position

.... 100% off the line ..... notking like that then , i use a two stage set up on a 4valve honda ,which was interesting ,broke 8" tire loose at half track ,had it wired up for third gear off the shift drum

You need the progressive box....I had problems on my street FJ with nitrous and no progressive feed.

Yes, i have done this a time or two- lol. Since i'm not using a wheelie bar it wouldn't be practical for me to spray the bike right off the line. Tranny problems shouldn't be a major issue because i'm running a street tire with the progressive. I'm more concerned about clutch slippage down track as the nitrous power increases given the fact that i don't have a lockup clutch.

I wish they had loukup clutch when I raced my CB750. My clutch would start to slip. I could run 10.65 at first and at the end of the day in 11.xx. The bike after sitting all night and cooling off would run 10.65 the next day. I would drop my ET ever race.

That was all motor. I put Nitrous Oxide on it to try and run SG at IDBA.

That motor was a 900, bar and slick 5.5 GY with 1.4X 60s. It had 1000 stroker pistons. 1/4inch over Gold rods with a stock crank. RC head with 327 cam. I turn it up to 12,500rpm in 5th.

Did you run a stroker plate or shim under barrel ?
I figured I ran my 315 to around 11,500 a lot but reading on this forum some seemed to think it was high. I thought it was just part of running a cam..

Actually I had to cut it down. These pistons had the pin in the oil rings. This was one of Brent Adams setup. I had a 1080 that ran the same number, but it lasted longer. I shift a motor at the RPMs that make it run the fastest.

Hi there

I just saw your post. I have nitrous on my 836. I made my own combo nozzles that reach into the carb mouths just before the slides. Works very well and I can show you how it's done when I have time if you're interested.

It looks like you're using the air filter pods to place the fogger nozzles. Is that correct??
