Ok folk out there  in bike land.........

The great rim debate.... I am "caféing" my 1975 CB500T.... the stock rear rim is damaged..(looking into repairing...)

Would love to beef up my rear rubber....

I am not going stock on my shocks (GSXR 750 frt end being fitted..)

So the question.... what rubber have folk squeezed onto there rides..

And are the new sizes on stock Honda rims..

16" rear wheel from an 81 750 on my '74 550. 130/90/16 for rubber. Nice and meaty and fits easily. I like the height when looking at the 110/90/19 on the front.

Can you post a pic?   I'd also like to mount a fat tire on the rear of my 550 and thought about a 17".

Boat - you def want a wider rim, at least 2.15"

17 on the rear is do able.   use  78 550 k  hub,   78 750k spokes and hoop.
