its no secret im a harley guy from way back, but i cannot stomach them damn clones,if you want a harley, buy a harley.

But if we were to really beat off about clones, wouldn't we slag Harley, because, after all, they did not produce the first v-twin.....

How things would be different now if it had been an inline four motor, like one of the Indian ones, that was the motor of choice today. Maybe then we would be bashing the Rocket III because it was the same configuration (less one cylinder), but not a real Indian.

Frankly, all of the V-twins look the same to me, which is one reason I do not think I would ever want to own one. But, bottom line, two wheels good, four wheels bad, so whatever a person chooses to ride on two wheels is good for me.
true,my point is these guys buy those big bear and whatever other clones there are and then wear all thier harley #$%*,it aint a harley, its an s&s motor in someones frame.

I don't know about you guys, but I bought my CB off of an American.  He bought it from the Japanese in 1972. ;)

My Uncles BRAND NEW HARLEY ROAD GLIDE:
This bike has 3,000 miles on it, all adult driven

1. In shop for the last 2 months
2. burned radio twice
3. burned cb twice
4. dies at random when hot
5. dealer refuses to fix dying problem, they say it is just fine. (so Harley's are supposed to lean die when hot normally?)
6. Bike has left him near walking many times.

ElCheapo, don`t if this can be of any help to your uncle but, I work with a guy who owns an `06 WideGlide, he too had stalling/surging issues with his bike. Turns out Harley has an updated set of injectors for his bike. He had them installed two weeks ago and he says the bike has never run as good. Just a heads up for ya. Oh,to sorta keep on topic, that dude from byker bildofff is stereotypically narrowminded. My older brother used to be one of those if`n it ain`t a Harley it ain`t worth s@#t types (did I mention he got his broken `59 Pan towed home by a guy on a SOHC??...he`ll NEVER live that one down). He is mellowing in his old age tho I think he actually LIKES my bike, sorta.
