I noticed Z1 has replica Kawasaki 4-4 exhausts, that may be a good sign because PMC makes them and also cb750 pipes however I think PMC makes the 341 style. Ebay said Z1 had 5 sets and sold 5 sets. Webike still says sold out and I haven't gotten an email yet.
If I ever got caught up on cb projects I'd like to Z1 clone my 80 kz1000. Orange/brown with 4-4, flat seat, I got the carbs recently and can find the correct airboxes. Repro shocks with the reflectors are out there, the forks with reflectors are difficult to find.

BenelliSEI, you got the Lotus Root pipes that are very open inside? For the first Sandcasts.
Yamiya sold them for 250.000 yen.
Baffle look like a bomb

They have a darker tone than the Yamiya No numbers that look like HM300 pipes, Yamiya price around 150.000 yen when I ordered.

They have also good flow and nice sound without the "wool". HM341's are very restrictive.

They sound very nice with baffles in without the thick padding around. Rather loud after 120km/h

My brown K2 has those that way.
My K6 with Hindle 4-2-1 sounds less when cruising in legal speeds. Different when twisting some

I have one baffle with the front end drilled for an O2 sensor. It's tempting to drill them all. That said, I already have jetting issues.

Buy a new one nit drilled. Use the drilled one for the AFR tests.
I guess baffle without padding will make difference mostly on main jet compared with no baffle.
If running to lean needles easy to fix by overcompensate with 1 size too large main. It will show in way too rich at higher speed, after 140kmh and WOT.

That's how I found out to lift needles 1 step (4) and go down on main to 115 from 120.
Stock airbox.

I removed all baffles when running the Yamiya No numbers on dyno with 1005cc. 2 sensors each tlme. 2 runs, AFR on all 4. (1-2 + 3-4)
After that a power run with all baffles in. If it ran a little lean on main jet, I guessed it will be OK with baffles in.
Not accept the slightest to the rich side without baffles.

Last time on my K2 only measure power, we both felt it ran OK. CB750 carbs not much to adjust since they are made for the engine. Needle height and main jet which I had tested out by road tests, needle could only be one, main tested leaner and richer.

I do have a spare baffle, that's the drilled one. I rode with them out today after returning to original jetting and adding the carb top gaskets. Now it's too loud with no baffles in the no no's. That's a good sign.

Webike took the M Tec Chukyo 4-4 (no number) pipes off of their web site. Either there won't be any more or they are sick of the inquiries. PMC are still listed as out of stock, I think they are the 341 style. DSS no listing and Yamiya none in stock.

I put a set of CSMNL 341's on my gold "nugget" K0 today. I'd prefer to put them on my brothers K4 later on, but for now they have a home.

My no no.s from DSS were around $1400, the 341's I got from cmsnl were around $1850 with trim. Around the time you got yours, DSS showed a few sets in stock. It was too late for a heads up to you, and I stupidly didn't order them when I saw them, the next day they were gone, and they have not had any since. I think they had been stuck in the suez canal!
My first set of Yamiya were from one of the ebay sellers, Mach IV motors if I recall correctly. I sniped them for $1200 and they stopped selling them after that.

I still think Yamiya's are made by M Tec Chukyo which is related to Mugen, which is/was owned by Mr. Honda's son. He made a prototype of a Vincent clone a couple decades ago, tried to get it into production. There is a welding shop in Japan that makes the 4-4 Yoshimura Daytona copy per order when they can.

I saw the guys on American pickers buy a Vincent engine. I knew Mike already had a buyer for it even if I could afford one. But dang. He also got a knucklehead engine right out of a pickup truck I had walked past the day before. I could get a frame built if I had one.

I bought a bike Mike wanted to buy. I was in the right place at the right time with money. I'm still pretty happy about it.
Most all the revivals have failed, Polaris seems to be the only success.

A friend bought a 46 Indian chief from Mike before he got on TV. It's gorgeous. Anyway my point was I think Honda still has a connection to some of these parts even if it's a decendant company.

I wonder when the production of 4-4 will start again.
The Yamiya no numbers the type that fits most bikes and work really well.

I'm happy about my expensive Lotus Root pipes I bought from Yamiya (250.000 yen + shipping + VAT + customs when the rate was better for me 2017).
Maybe back on my K6 again or a 3rd build.

Now when not available it feels good to have an extra set.

They cannot blame Covid now, or do they?

I haven't heard reasons why none are being made. I had hope when DSS showed a few sets, but they vaporized overnight. My friend in the aftermarket says there are supply chain problems, like getting material and our parts are made part time in factories when they are caught up with their normal work.
Indonesia says their manufacturing base may never recover.
The Volcano isn't helping them either.

Wow is right. I just bought a set of Delkevic pipes for my K8. For $1975 I could buy five sets of Delkevic pipes and have enough left over for socks!
