Pics of my Layaway '71 SL175 K1
« on: November 04, 2013, 12:45:41 PM »
I have tried several times to post a pic of my soon to be bike and haven't been able to. If you want to see Many pictures of it and many other really nice SL and other vintage bikes, pull up 'Bikes for Sale Marble Motors'. Mine is #14 and down the page on the left side.
If you have never been on Marble Motors' website, then your in for a great treat. I warn you, you will be tempted to spend some cash.
He also offers some parts and services, mainly hinged around the SL bikes, for those doing pristine rebuilds. Farmer

Farmer and Stev-o, this pic takes me back 40 years ago in the early 70's when I had my red 71 SL175. Not this best pic, but here I am in the front yard of my parents house not long after getting it. I kept this great little bike until 1974 when I traded it in on brand new(first year they came out) 74 CB360. Looked and looked but can find any pics of it :(

Bringing this kind $$ now I guess I should of held on to it huh :o

I had one in the early 80's through around 1992 that ended up painted the same scheme. It was (if I recall correctly) gold and white when we got it, but my father repainted it in red and silver.

'Thanks Stev-o for posting the pic for me'--LOL yes I fell for temptation! But we are buying a place and will have 3 miles of Red Dirt road before getting to paved road. I ride unless it's raining during winter, so this will carry me the 14 miles to town and leave the Gl1800 in the garage. Plus, Randy let me put it on a very short term layaway!
dhall, so good you have your SL pic, I hope to find mine this winter. I had one pic of me and a friend with his blue and white CB100 and me with my SL70, but I don't know if that pic is still around.
I'll tell yall, these bikes do take us all back to a more simplier time in life. Farmer
