Please help Identify Carb.s
« on: November 05, 2013, 04:16:32 AM »
Can anyone tell me what these carb.s fit?

I can not find any markings on them other than "Keihin".

Would it be easier to tell from any mearsurements?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

Thanks again.

I did a quick search around this site and found a link to a page that says where the numbers are located and what they indicate.  These have "657A"

71-76 all had the spring running down the center. Seeing that yours were designed to be used with a #110 main jet I would say they may be from a 73 or so. Here is a little chart for reference. Might want to check that spring closely also as it does not look stock maybe. It looks kinda long and flimsey and a stocker has a rubber sheath on it. See pic and how the stock spring is a little extended at rest. http://www.hondachopper.com/garage/carb_specs/carb_specs.html

One clue is the idle speed stop screw which is located on the left side of the carb rack in the OP’s first pic. This would suggest that the carbs came off a 1971-74 750 K which had petcock on the right side. The 1975-76 750 K bikes had the petcock on the left side and the idle speed stop screw on the right side. Honda didn’t place the idle screw and petcock on the same side from the factory.

I just thought the spring was missing the rubber dampener.

Well...  Now I know my carbs are missing those little boots on top of the little sync nuts.  I kind of thought something was supposed to go there..

You can skip those rubber boots on top the carbs unless you live on a dirt road in the desert. They just get in the way all the time.
