78' 550k w/Clubmans

Wanting to put a set of Lossa Clubmans onto my 78' CB 550k. Will my stock front brake, throttle, and clutch cables be too long ?? Do I need to replace ?? If so with what ??

Yes, the cables and brake hoses will be too long. I believe that you can get motionpro cables on custom lengths. As for brake hoses, I prefer the braided hoses Slingshot Cycles makes but just about any hudraulics shop could make up a hose for you. You'll also want to check your master cylinder on the new bars to make sure that it doesn't sit at too sharp an angle and let air in the line.

That's roughly the length you'll want but that specific cable won't fit your 550, as far as I can tell. Here's the stock cable length for reference:

If you are doing a DCC order anyway, I'd just give them a call. They'll be able to tell you the right cable your 550 needs for the clubmans.

I actually ended up just leaving my throttle, clutch and tach cables the stock length. I did get the shorter brake line though. There is a bit of excess cable below the headlight but I don't think it looks too bad. At least, I don't think its woth the $75 for shorter cables.

That's a 1971 CB500. Not sure what brand clubmans those are since they came with the bike.

Found a set of Clubmans I think I am going to pull the trigger on and order them up.
I like the adjustability built into them ..... and they LQQk pretty sweet as well.
Set to order up new shorten brake lines from Slingshot Cycles, and going to wait and see if the stock clutch/throttle cables will work?

+1 to the M bars. My clubmans are starting to rust in a couple spots. When then get replaced it will be with the M bars.
