Chromed chain case will be the choice for my bike, right?
I have been looking for a chain case for over a year or 2-3. Very tricky to find a good one. I have seen in USA for about $50, shipping will add 40-50 more plus customs, tax that will ends up in $150. Same in Europe where its possible to find for about $180-190, plus restore it and blast + paint....

So, yamiya750.com has NEW, even chromed which should match the chromed front. Not cheap but it will look ::) ::)

But what to do when there are very few alternatives around?

I can imagine next step from the same site.... Candy sapphire blue as my bike was delivered from Japan and when I bought it for soon 35 years ago. Small detail as petcock on right side (wrong) as before 1975.

And this 4-1 if the sound is right. I do not like too thin pipes which will sound bad when twisting the throttle, rattling resonances.

WOW it will look really good!  ::)
My wallet will be abused. :o My other fresh painted tank in Freedom  green metallic with OEM stripes badges 1974 style and side covers can be saved for another project in closer OEM style with original pipes etc. Just buy a bike when possible if finding one with bad tank for $4000.
I need to win money, quick!

Yes, I will :) I gave up getting a chain case cheap. (blue tank too I suppose)
Same with tank. I have 3 tanks, original K6 repainted in light red (my avatar), repainted scratched black 72-74, 74 with fresh paint in green with all trims, side covers.

It would be nice to get back the original blue as yamiya750 sell new for a price I saw as too high 1-2 years ago. Now no problems when I have searched a lot for 750 parts, new or used.
Only thing is that the tanks from Yamiya has the petcock in old style before 1975 on right side. (wrong for my K6). I can restore my original tank that I know have some dents and rust inside, it will cost to paint it.

CB750 seems to be very popular and prices rather high, good parts disappear quick.
My project to restore my old bike has cost me more than I planned from the beginning. But it's worth it. It take med back to my history I have had with it since 1979.

Finally a chain case back on bike since original went kaputt on Autobahn just before Kassel Germany, the day after thrown in the bin somewhere between Besançon and Lyon , France July 1988.

I have already noticed that it encourage polish, polish and polish... isn't it a fingerprint there, there and there ? :D

The inner tricky inner screw mounted with help of shrink tube.

Yes, the black tank and absence of side covers look boring ::)

EDIT: Shipment from Yamiya very quick! Got the parts within 5 working days!! Sent order Sunday afternoon got the package today Friday!! :)
