a DOOMTOWN RIDER and sohc4 member/poster had this happen outside a bar a while back, and recently it has come to light who was responsible. the offenders are both wannabe 1 percenter harley types, who always have their crap parked out front of the same bar. the intent was a prank, but i think they deserve a good one back...

what would you do if this happened to you?

If I caught someone I didnt know lifting my bike, I'd beat them with my helmet or whatever was laying around. I mean, I'm protecting my property.
I dont like anyone touching my #$%* unless I say "ok, you can touch it."

After the fact though, what are you gonna do? Threaten em, I guess, with bodily harm should you catch them doing it again. I dunno.
No.

I prefer the more subtle tactic.

When they are not around, casually hit the emergency shutoff switch on the handlebars. Sit inside and laugh your @ss off while they try to figure out why it won't run and call roadside assistance...

If they leave their helmets on the bars, casually throw a lubed condom inside. It can be used if you like. They may not mind since they sound like scumbags anyway.

"wannabe 1 percenter harley types"  HHHHHMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm lets see..........

1st.  Seems to me you have to evaluate your resources. Do/does "they" "the"  offender/s  overpower you by numbers?
I remember the initial post and if I remember correctly he was a power un to himself. Now that makes 2 of you that are pissed.

2nd.  How much Sh^% do you feel is necessary for pay back?

3rd. If you get a chance,  fu&k  with them BIG TIME and while doing it .................
think about us 45 year olds who don't need any more assult charges in there lives and only wish we could still play

yeah, i'm sure said party could take care of matters himself.  ;D

however, i think something particularly creative is due. he has come up with the best idea so far, which is to claim the front wheel as a trophy, along with the chain.

about #1: we have mutual acquaintances, who commented "uh, maybe you #$%*ed with the wrong dude..." to the offending parties. and they are not affiliated or anything...remember, i said "wannabe" 1 percenters. dude was riding a hondamatic 400 a year ago, and now he's badass on an ironhead all of the sudden?

about #2: up to the "victim." no harm was really done, just disrespect which isn't the worst thing in the world...except that it was from some chumps thinking they were being tough guys.

about #3: well, see #2. ;) violence is not necessary (and would be a moronic payback). i'm just curious to see the ideas other would have...

Let the air out or their tires.  How pissed can you get over that, but just the same, its an unmoveable pile of #$%*.  This will probably get the point across.

They move my bike and I catch them, they die......Moving a motorcycle is theft. It is a felony reguardless of the intention of where it will be going. Maybe if they sit 15 years in jail for being a dick head they will think twice. They will learn a new understanding for Bubba's love.  ;D

Lets say that I could give thier bike a good kick as I ride away.....

Back in hight school I road a 1984 maxim 400. It was cool I was 16 years old . I had a bike before a car. Anyway my buddy thought it would be funny to pull a plug wire off and let it hang. I started it and got to the first stop sign before diagnosing the hessitation. I didn't think it was funny, and from that moment on I was a little protective of my ride home. So if I caught someone moving my bike (ha ha) >they would not think it's funny ever again. :-[

Put a fresh sardine over their engine, or if it could be easily spotted and they have open pipes, inside one of them. When the engine/exhaust start to heat up, the smell of cooked fish will attach to their riding gear forever.

As I understand it, we have 2 Faux Harley riders moving a Honda from a parking spot in front of a bar to claim the spot as their own.

Take the time to go to a TrimLine shop and have 2 custom made license plate sized 3M reflective tape signs made, which you can apply with stealth next time they're at the same bar....be creative and use words that suit the level of your desire for revenge...properly designed and applied, these stick-overs will not be notices immediately, especially at nite, and will be very difficult to remove.

suggestions include:

HONDA

FAKE HD

WANNABE

FOOL

IDIOT

COPS SUK

I SUCK

BIG HOMO1   and  BIG HOMO2

#$%*

...etc

Make nice with the guys when you see them.

Take digital pictures of them leaving.

Print and post in the Ladies room of the bar for next time; also send to various bike magazines and your local newspaper.

Add Comprehensive Insurance to your bike with a low deductable, just in case things escalate.

Enjoy!

Of all the I'm gonna kill this guy and his bike stuff retaliations posted here,

Raul - I think you win for most dastardly and civilized response. You have combined a snack with a good deed ;D ;D ;D ;D

I also like a small squirt gun filled with skunk scent spray, few small squirts on the motor - you get the idea. Or a rotten egg inserted into and exhaust pipe, which will expand while it cooks and then blows all the egg guts out  :o

If you have the time to do this then try it. Take a BB and put it in their valve stem cap and put the cap back on. The BB that is now stuck in the valve stem cap will press the valve core down slightly after the cap is put back on and it will act just like a slow leak. The cool part is they will air the tire back up and it will just keep losing air. Hopefully they go through all kinds of hell trying to find the "slow leak" problem. I did this an #$%* work associate and it took him/her several months to figure it out. By that time he had it in the shop twice, and had replaced that front wheel while trying to figure it out.
I have met some dang nice Hardly riders, but most have been a bunch of arrogant butt heads. They all think they are bad asses just because of the bike they ride. It is just like ever thing else"there are good people and their are other people". I also believe in karma. They will get theirs, and it will probably be from a real bad ass Hardly rider.
Cheers

When I was in high school, we would get a bunch of guys together to pick up and move jerk's cars to make them hard to get to - like between 2 poles. Or behind a dumpster, etc. You could do this (really good if you can get it somewhere up high) or maybe just flip it upside-down.

I also like Raul's suggestion. Maybe wedge a fish under the seat. Or how about a couple of smoke bombs with some kind of simple ignition device?  ;D

I don't ride my moto to bars because I don't want to try to drive it after drinking.
I have a co-worker who is currently in a coma from driving drunk, without a helmet.

That being said, buy the guys several very strong drinks and see how far they make it.
Why worry about tomorrow for tomorrow has enough troubles of it's own.

Take a Qt. of old motor oil,
      When no one is looking,
    dump under "offenders bike"
       tell the bartender/owner there is
an "oil spill" from a bike out front, and
       you don't want anyone to slip and get hurt...{slip/fall=lawsuit}
bartender/owner then will find+ get "offender" to clean it up,
or have the environmental{spill} officer come out.and see him..
and you didn't have to touch  a thing....
               and you and everybody
                get to watch.......{audience,front row seat,embarassment,etc.}............
He will probably then go pay to have the dealer check his

I like that; easier and quicker to do than the fish and you can get away from the scene of the crime before being spotted. Just use a big syringe and spill while you pretend you are lacing your shoes.... Brilliant!!!

Make sure to squirt just a little on the bottom of the case so it looks like it did indeed come from the bike.  ;D

Just add a little twist to the oil. Squirt it OVER the engine first (especially fins), so when it heats up (it shouldn't catch fire) it will drool in classic H-D fashion down the engine. So they will have extra work back home - to find the leak... Hopefully at least head gasket change? Just thinking.....  ;)

Being a bit of a chicken (and having the ferociousness of Hugh Grant or Colin Firth in the fight scene in "Bridget Jones' Diary) I see no advantage to trying anything physical in a case like this. All of these subtle get-backs really pique my interest, however.

1. Go trough your garage and find some important-looking screws, springs and washers. Crome ones will work best.
2. Tape them to his handlebar with a note saying: "guess where these came from?............."
3. Watch from a distance and see if he dares to drive his bike home.

It may be a wise idea to park your bike in 1st gear. It won't be as easy to move then.

I like that one!  Reminds me of an idea someone else had (may have been on this forum) about leaving a note on someone's car/bike that just says "I don't have insurance, but sorry about that scratch".  Only works in the case of an expensive new car or bike, but I can just see the owner pacing back and forth around their vehicle inspecting every last inch looking for that blemish. ;D

That is a really good one; no damage done, nothing to stop the person riding the bike away, but you're really messing with their mind about what has been damaged.

If you can use a straight pin to short through one of the plug wires, thing won't run. If it is really a HD not running will not appear out of the ordinary. Like all these little paybacks, just don't get caught or you could catch an ass whuppin.

I guess I am one of the only one on the opposite side here.  Sometimes a bike has to be moved.

About 4 months ago I had to pull an enclosed trailer to Wisconson (from NJ).  The trailer is located on the ground level floor of a parking deck in the first spot (reserved for the trailer).  When pulling the trailer out of the spot you have to immeditly cut left in order to avoid one of the pillers.  On the left side of the trailer is a Bike.  It was illegaly parked in one of those small yellow No Parking spaces, in front of an electrical box, or whatever.  Anyway, it was impossible to get the trailer out with the bike there (it was very close to the trailer.  So I walked up to the nearest police officer, and asked for help.  We lifted the bike over several feet (had a fork lock) so that I could get out.  Waiting around for the owner was not an option.  The bike was of course handled carefully.

So I guess there are cases where bikes can be moved, it was his fault for parking in an illegal spot.  (not that I haven't parked illegaly, the lot gets full) but it would have been nice if he wasn't right on top of the trailer as well.

FYI, not that it matters, but it was a Harley, and he got a ticket for illegal parking.

Well of course.  But just think if that owner came out and saw me moving the bike?  I am sure he would think the same things as others are here.  Might just be a good idea to figure out why someone is touching your bike before going crazy.  (although I know I would lose it too)  Sometimes a screw driver is necessary.

Or squirtgun/piss all over engine...

BWAHAHAHAHA!  That's pretty good- I'm trying to think of the biking equivalent of the flaming bag of dog#$%* approach..

Perhaps smash some dog#$%* into the cooling fins!  This would be tricky to pull of "cleanly" however!  :-)  I'm thinking you'd have to have some #$%* on a spatula, wait until no one is looking, then run up and do it up!

Or, how about superglue a big, realistic and fleshy looking dildo to the gas tanK!   That, and take some glittery stick-on letters from the art store, and spell out "c*ck lover" on the dude's gas tank!  That will teach him!   ;D
