my 76 cb550

i've got a CB550 and was wondering how many they made that year... and also i keep looking and the 76 was the year of the F1 but my vin starts with CB550F2.. is this wrong..

can someone help me i was just wondering cause i have a low number VIN does that make the bike worth more or less..

I'm not sure about the 'worth' but the CB550F2 is a 1976 model year motorcycle.

The 2 after the F is just the first number of the serial number, not a model designator.
Model designators were:
1975-  F0
1976-  F1
1977-  F2
That was the entire USA model series.

I'm not aware of any value increase for a low serial number.  Condition is the dominating factor, imo.
