cb750 keys

gday , i have a  sets of keys for my bike, , ,the big honda key does the ignition, the steering lock and the seat lock ,,,   the smaller key doesnt seem to have any function that i can find, is it a personal key for something else thats not for the bike, thanks in advance, ken,       heres a pic

Looks non Honda related. Did the bike come with a rear trunk or saddlebag or maybe a fairing with a locking compartment. May have even been for a padlock.

no mate , nothing like that(saddle bags etc) i have 2 sets of identicle keys, as you said its maybe  for a small padlock for a locker or something,  i will pull them off, theres a grove under the ignition on the frame where that small key rubbed the paint away from the wind,  thanks ekpent,, ken

Are you SURE that key isn't for the steering lock?
Here in Europe the ignition key did never fit the steering lock in those days, that had a different key....

Check the steering stem near the lower tree. Some earlier models had a steering lock near the bottom of the stem.

That looks something like a (hardware store copy of a) Honda key for 70's bikes, maybe the owner had a 400F or something as well and had both keys on one ring?
The T key style is older and typical of 60's models, possibly some smaller bikes used it into the late 70s but "big bikes" used the longer style of the other key, the originals have a rectangular black handle with a "HONDA" logo.

I doubt the extra key it has anything to do with your bike.

I'm guessing you also are the proud owner of an older automotive key ... maybe a Ford. 

Note the dual sided design, so you don't need to orient the key properly to insert it.

thanks for the replies, the honda key does work on the steering lock, took a bit of pushing and jiggling to figure it out the 1st time,
