New oil filter installed and filled the motor with Honda 10w40

New plugs

Hooked up my aux tank for tuning

Set up the static timing

Then fired it up!

Once wamred up i was making about 18ish pounds of oil pressure at idle.  This drops down to around 10ish or slightly less on a hot day after a long stretch of riding, in extreme conditions i see a little flicker on the oil light at low idles when really hot.  If I ever get back into the bottom end I'll probably swap all of the crank bearings for Blacks to bring this back up a bit.

I also eventually came back later and fitted a new chrome drive chain.

And then it looked like this!

I'd gotten it buttoned up enough to put on some break-in miles on July 4 of last summer.  :)

Thanks for posting your build! I have really enjoyed seeing your work. I'm actually a little sad you're out of pictures to share.

Fear not, there's an epilogue to this story coming up, sort of a "Scouring of the Shire" scene.

Getting a kick out of this thread. Some ingenious home-fashioned machining (MacGyvering?) going on here.

Haha, you're going to love this next bit then. ;D

Sorry about the delay, been working long hours and spending my few hours of free time tweaking and riding the bike. I will try to get another post up soon.

Thanks for reading
