How long are you in town for?  Daughters soccer today and Superbowl "party" all day tomorrow...  Go Seahawks!  Then I am in CT on business the following week.

Still in CT or did you make it for the Hawks'  victory parade?   

I think I picked one of the best weekends to visit Seattle.  Aside from the brisk temperature, the City was so full of Seahawks fever.  12th Man flags everywhere and business storefronts were dressed up in the team colors.  Even the homeless people in downtown were randomly shouting, "Go Hawks!"

My best friend down here in SoCal has been rooting for the Hawks since he was born in Seattle.  He went to a Super Bowl party dominated by Broncos fans talking smack.  Apparently, the room became pretty silent pretty fast.

Yep, could not have picked a better weekend.  The Hawks have a pretty amazing following, almost like a college team.  Wish we could of hooked up for a beer, maybe next time?

They run a pretty tight ship.  I think you will like the throttle...  Did you also get the universal cable kit, so you can build new cables?

I really need to stop checking in on your builds, every time I do I end up spending money!  Just supported the local economy in the UK, can't wait for my new Venhill 888 to get here!

Ha ha, I think you will really like the 888, I got brandEn hooked on them.  The throttle response is great and it's a well made bit.

Venhill doesn't mess around, I ordered on Monday and received it today.  If only my bike had a motor in it...

Yeah, that is exactly what I got.  The long throttle pull has always bugged me.  Nothing worse than having to reset your grip while trying to reach the ton!

Some more shop time down.  I got the dual discs al set up and braided lines ran, what a pita to get the right side caliper set up through the spokes.  Next time I will set this up prior to lacing the wheel.  New taillight on the NOS rear fender, I wanted something that was not too far from stock but much smaller.  RickyRacers seat is on and got started on the wiring, including led bulbs and load equalizers for all light with the exception of the headlight.  Starting to shape nicely keeping with my vision of a slightly modified stock look.

Thanks all for the comments and checking out my thread!  When I look back to page one at the original bike I can't believe it has come this far.  Really looking forward to ripping around on this bike this summer.  Although I love tastefully executed cafe builds, it feels nice to be building something that will pay respects to the true 750 form.

Yes Timbo, it is a DCC taillight.  I am really happy with the product, seems to be good quality.

Thanks, I looked long and hard for decent turn signals and finally found these.  I feel they still look like they could have been period correct but not as gigantic as stockers.  Yes, they will be fork ear mounted on the front just as stock.

Always a pleasure having you check out me thread Jim.  The rear brake drum and all the silver on the build is just basic Silver ano powdercoat.  I wanted a bright silver but not a color that would take away from the Candy Gold paint once the tins are installed.

If you have the time (and care to be bothered) another one, facing the rear wheel dead on (at axle level) up to the front of the engine shot would be nice too! no need for the front wheel on that one.

I couldn't help myself but to put the tank and side cover on after doing some work in the shop tonight.  After seeing the tank on I think it needs the chrome molding on the bottom of the tank but I am going back and forth.  Thoughts???  Really liking the way the golding of the stainless pipes looks next to the candy gold paint.











Also ran into a minor set back today.  Discovered my oil pan had a minot crack in it since it was leaking a bit of assembly lube.   Glad I had a spare and caught this prior to adding oil and firing up. 

On the list to wrap up is electrical and headlight, bleed the front brakes time the ignition and fire up.

AMAZING!! Just my $0.02, but I say ditch the molding on the bottom edge of the tank.  I like the look of dechroming a hot rod.  Everything looks fantastic together with the immaculate Gold tins.  I agree that the stainless pipes should stay bare on this one!

I like the tank trim on the bottom. I think the one with the black line in it would really make it pop.... IMO............. Great work and a very sick looking machine you have there!

Tweakin, TNT, Ron Stronger-whichever alias you're going by today -bike looks fantastic as does your photography work.   A question on the latter regarding your camera-does it have adjustable exposure?  If so, maybe try setting the exposure to 1/2 stop underexposure, which should give the images even better color saturation and less washed out highlights.  I am a fan of the tank trim too.  Nice work Tige....Larry
