No tank trim on this one... I initially liked it but after having a few IPAs in the shop I have changed my mind....Cheers. This ones for Steve-O
Pretty rough shape when I brought her home this last November. Too far gone for a full restore, so I put her back together as close to stock as I could and wanted to. Feels really good to have brought this one back to life.1971 cb750 K1 GTI could not be happier with how the "Turd" turned out. It was overcast when I shot the pictures so the Candy Gold paint looked almost orange, pretty cool the way the paint looks different in different lighting. My oldest daughter came out and said "Daddy, I thought Tweakin's turd was Gold? This bike looks orange" This was followed up by "I think you need to change the name... Its not a turd anymore".

been married so long they only have abc sex(anniversary, birthdays & Christmas)
Ahh. I think I just found them on DCC.
Tige,Your daughter's very insightful. You do need to find a new name for this beauty.Turd just doesn't capture the feel. Great build! Will you be riding this or the Cafe on our weekend outing?
Yes Jim the name will be changed to 1971 cb750 GT. This will pay tribute to the roots of the bike (Golden Turd) and to where it is now. (Gran Turismo)I hope to make the cafe weekend this year, any idea on dates yet? This is going to be one of the busiest years in a long time at work so planning is a must. That is part of the reason why I built this bike so fast.
GT Gold and Tough.....

Stunning.
As usual, brilliant work, Tweakin! What a fitting place for one of our seats! Thanks for your support of our efforts! Very impressive resuscitation of an old CB that needed a lotta lovin'! RR
