Do you need to limit the fork travel because of the fuel tank?
I think the question is steering stops to limit the lock-lock travel. It appears the forks will contact the tank in tight radius turning.

Thank you, Cal, exactly my point.  The reason I ask is that the K3F with K3 tank and F3 fork actually hits the tank and I had to make adjustable stops on the frame to prevent the tank from getting bend.

No issue with this.

Could you elaborate on it, please?  Did you alternate the tank, stops, forks or it just happened like that?

How much space do you have between fork tube and the tank on full left/right?   Picture?

No, the back of the tank is where the back of the stock tank was. The tank is shorter.

Looking good.  Since you are not using the right front rotor and caliper, are you milling off the radial mount for the caliper or just leaving it empty?

It is an ISR lever from Sweden. Here is the link- http://www.isrbrakes.se/products/mastercylinders/

It is milled off. We thought it would not look right with an empty mount on there.

Nice build.  Some people think they're silly but personally, I really enjoy watching videos of the first time an engine fires.  Hope you get one for this bike and post it on here.

Good luck on your ride down the west coast and be safe.

Rear fender and tire installed. Tank should be ready this week. The old school flames are awesome with metal flake black, silver outline and hugger a orange base. Dad was finishing the wiring today, hooking it all up to the Motogadget M Unit.  All  of the hex head bolts are only temporary until the stainless socket head allen bolts come in from various locations,

+1 on the paint.

Oil hoses, it would not be much trouble to make an adapter and avoid the red and blue piece down there, much cleaner that way.  Looks the same at the oil tank too.

My $0.02 only of course.

Here are a few pics of the finished bike.

Rode it from Southern Oregon to Los Angeles on Highway 1 twenty minutes after the first test drive.

Needs a bit more work on jetting the webers, but pulls really,  really strong from 6 to 9 grand and sounds  awesome. Probably a bit to awesome to pass the German TUV.
