Hello,
Like the title says, I'm new to this forum, but I've owned my 1978 CB750K since 1982. I traded a '78 CB550K for it and was glad I did. I only owned the 550 for about 4 months prior to trading. The 750 was my daily rider throughout college and probably well into the 1990's. Then, children arrived, etc. and motorcycle riding slowed to a near dead stop. The entire time, though, the bike has been garaged, covered, periodically cleaned, started, etc. I've had many bikes since I first bought the 750 (and still have a few), but this was my first "cool" motorcycle, and will be keeping it, "forever".....
I'm starting to put together parts, pieces, information, etc. to do a full restoration of the 750, that's how I came across this site. The biggest hurdle will be re-building the carbs, as they need lots of work. (I've already downloaded the carb manual). I am working on another bike at the moment, and when it's finished, the Honda is up next.
I plan on doing alot of reading, here, to see what others have done and hopefully learn alot before tackling the project.
