I want an old CB750 without updates in good condition too..... I have found some  that seems to be repaired/restored for profit.
I guess it cost $$$ to import a bike from USA.

I might go the long path... buy a frame with registration, then all parts in separate auctions. The only thing that cost a lot is the 4-4 pipes. K0 would be nice.

You have dangerous stuff in the sea as well.
Irukandji jellyfish, Box jellyfish, Blue-ringed octopus, Cone Shells. If you have survived these the great white is waiting out that for a snack. One bite and the thigh is gone...Maybe they learn jumping up to the beach as the Killer whales can...?
Killer Whale...Really...Whale Grabs-Eats man off Beach

Yeah mate, I don't swim in the sea, if I do I'm fair game for all sorts of bitey things, but unless a white pointer chases me up the freeway, I've got no problems with them.

Just so you don't think I'm over-stating how many nasties there are up north where Mick lives in Darwin, here's his post from today about something his wife picked up in her car. ;D

The missus just came and got me to have a look at her Formula 1 Corolla before because it smelt like a dead animal.
I was thinking that maybe a green tree frog or a cane toad had snuck into the car and snuffed it.
I was wrong.
A bloody snake was jammed in the door and it's tail had been dragging along the road while she was driving.
It had come through from under the mudguard on the outside of the door seal and got the door slammed on it.
It's fcuked now.  ;D
Cyclones and snakes piss me off.  ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I started to work on this K6 and had some surprises !  ::)

Missing nut/washer on front engine hanger bolt :

Out of order petcock (on left a CB500 Four one, remember that this K6 has a K2/K5 gas tank and petcock ) :

Incorrect position of speedo drive :

And some question about electrical parts :
- is it normal that the flasher unit is not fixed (right red arrow) ?
- the right bolt (red arrow) was not tightened  ::) but is there a missing bolt on left (blue arrow) ?

- what is that part and where it has to be fixed ?

- is it the correct position for the breather coming from to the oil  tank ?

Thanks for your help  :)
Patrick

Geez mate, after 38 years you've got a missing nut, a couple of loose bolts and a wonky speedo cable, would you like some cheese with your whine?  ::) ;D

I can't answer all your questions re: whether or not you're missing a holder for your flasher can etc, but I'm sure someone with a K6 will be right along to help you out. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Thanks for your help  :)

That is your cam cover breather hose and is routed from the factory like this:

Your turn signal flasher attaches to the rear battery tray tab using a rubber holder, #18 in the 750 K6 parts diagram.

#18 is Honda PN: 38306-292-670 (suspension, winker relay)

Sure Terry, that bike is 38 years old ! But that bike is not "in perfect condition, ready to ride, 1 owner only, well maintained" as promised  ::) It has been tinkered by an incapable mechanic as you can see on the following pictures  :(

Many thanks Dream750 for your help, it seems that the rubber holder is the same than on CB450 and I have some new refab in stock. On your parts-list picture I find that the part #5 is missing also, named "stay, diode" on CMSNL parts-list.

The first surprises gave a good idea of what I could find later ! The engine was resprayed with the spark plugs in place, so they were painted too :

Have you ever seen such idiot fuel pipes ? Leaks on each "T" ...

Handlebar is twisted on left side :

Alternator, oil pressure and neutral were disconnected :

And the epic wire connection in the head light, 4 cables disconnected and 1 cut, paper adhesive tape and strange orange/blue cables for the winkers :

What I found under the adhesive tape :

Some work on the wire harness during next days  ::)

I forgot an other problem : the pedal change is very hard to move, when pushing on 1st gear it stays below, when pushing on 2nd gear it stays on top. I have to look at the shift spindle ...  ::)
