I was in WA in the middle of August, 1975; we made it as far as Bellingham before we got tired of pitching a tent in the mud every day for a week, and headed back south.. :D

I'm so confused? Pimpzilla is done?  Well, I am planning on a ride from CA to AZ (through Tombstone) to NM then not certain.  But that starts on April 1st 2014.  Since CA doesn't have any seasons and Scott wanted him back in Spring in AZ when the heck is spring?   :o
I'm kidding of course  ;)...but no I'm kind of not. :)
Would love to have Pimpzilla along for company as I am going solo.  But then again what are we doing for World Tour 4?

We're getting socked in up here.  Snowfall being measured by the foot now, so, Monday, he's getting crated and shipped to scottly, unless i get a PM from someone else wanting him.

I would be more than happy to have the World Tour IV start in Carpinteria.  I could drop him off to you in April when I come through AZ or we could meet up along the way or I could just keep him forever and ever and ever!!!  You never know with me.

My understanding is that GZ is in CO with Jerry, and Lefty is with Wilbur in FL.

I'd be happy to bring Pimpzilla back to some good weather and give him a few more adventures. It might even give me a good incentive to take a trip down to Carpinteria sometime next year.
So much to do, so little time.

This is no longer the rider's log thread... maybe scottly could split the threads and make a new "what do we do with the lizard now" thread.   ;)   Then we won't be mucking up this thread with all the banter.

Well, I wouldn't be starting at the border, but I'd do a trip down there.
I'm still 170 miles from the border though... and I wouldn't stick around there unless I want to die, I'd venture down to Rocky Point, which is only another 65 miles.  The border town of Sonoyta is just not where it's at.   ;)
I would want to start out earlier in the spring though, a lot of the reason we rode North this year was to escape the heat of the Phoenix Valley.

It is getting a little cooler here so not sure, but I'd consider going down there now if scottly wanted to.  I'm not working right now, so why the hell not? lol

I'm not taking myself OR my bike to Mexico! Winter hit here last night, except it was more like a monsoon storm; off and on heavy rain, high winds, lightning, and wall-shaking thunder! I was expecting to see snow in the morning, but it didn't get cold enough.

no there was some guys that came up from MS to meet me and my boys in AR, and then we rode back to MS with them and turned around and came back to AR and on to our house.  we got OK and down to TX but didn't get LA.  Did we get Tenn?  I just got so busy this year I didn't keep up with the travels after I did the meet up in 4 corners

Yes we do, but we do our planning to work around the riding seasons and northern riding WAS included back in the day. That was all part of the gig........... you had to take it all into consideration and ride or stay at home.  ;D  GZ waited for no one  ;)

Good to know... has it cleared up?  Wife and I are headed to Cottonwood this morning to trade my 250r three-wheeler and her Saturn for a JEEP!  We're excited as heck, so I guess the forecast doesn't really matter anyway.   ;D 8) ;D

Yeah. totally! Here in middle/northern California we suck it up and add a layer in the dead of winter when it plunges down into the 50's when the sun's beating down in the summer and the temps rise into the upper 70's we just open up a couple of zippers and keep riding. Hardcore.
So much to do, so little time.

Whatever happens with WT 4 I am in for having Pimpzilla before April fools day so he can ride on my "Cowboy and Indian" tour through AZ and NM and possibly CO.  Then I could send him off to others...
