I spotted this on the sandcast site and tried it. So far it's great.

Avon skin so soft, right out of the bottle, rubbed in to the seat. I put it on the sandcast's seat, after a few days it feels smoother, softer and looks great. Today it was in the sun and felt like new. I can push on it and it dents in around my finger before the whole square pushed in.
It might fall to pieces tomorrow but today it's like new. Not slippery like some treatments. It takes a few days to soak in. Your results may vary. My hands are soft too.
Now if I could air up the foam it'd be in fine shape!

I'd bet they will look great, not sure I'd want to ride on them though. The 44 year old tire on my sandcast has split near the bead.

Update, the seat is still soft, no splits no rot and looks good too. I applied a little more this week and wiped it down.
I tried it on the 1969 tool bag, it was so hard I was afraid it would crack, after an application and a soak in the sun it's as soft and flexible as new. I put some on a newer thinner tool bag, it got so soft I thought I had ruined it but after a day or two it's looking good again.

So is that the regular hand lotion, bug repellent, bath oil, or what? $:-\$ I've got a couple seats and tool pouches that could use it - but went to search and there were about a zillion different versions - thanks for the tip!

Heck, I didn't know there were multiple versions of it, it's the bath oil, I found it in the linen closet. I asked my wife and she thought there was just the one product.
I know it repels mosquitos and it softened that rough spot on my elbow. LOL!

bit of a test, worked good on the seat, even better on some black plastic . a fair bit cheaper than armour oil..

Update, all seats I've used it on still look good, including the sandcast bike. The one 400 seat was already toast so I bought a cover for it. My chassis shop partner was here working on a funny car and he asked if I was wearing some new cheap ass cologne. I realized he was smelling the skin so soft I had put on the Yamaha 850 seat. Smells way better than dog poop on the lawn tractor tire though.
I'm using the bath oil and it's not pink.

I was about to try this on the 750F seat. Does the [stench] go away after a while?

How often do you need to re-apply it Don R ?
I put it on my cycle seat that I use the most and it's still very supple,even in the cold;it's that blue Sargent cover that I got when I bought a used seat & those Sargent blue seatcovers stay good for a while anyway.I think next I'll put it on an old severely weathered oem seatcover to see if it'll take away the 'white' from it

Yes the smell does dissipate, We were working on a funny car chassis and my welder kept giving me the stink eye, he finally asked, are you wearing some nasty cologne or something? HA! No it's just the stuff I put on the yamaha seat.
I've applied it to the sandfcast's seat 3 times maybe. I don't think it needs any more, it feels like new and no cracks so far. I've used it on a couple more bikes since, it seems to dry in the seam areas first so I reapplied it there.

Just found this thread but my brother-in-law and I have been using it on our saddles for more than 10 years. It actually seems to work better than the expensive leather conditioner does on leather so I would expect it would do the same for vinyl. And whoever posted that about mosquitos is right. If you are willing to smell like a French cathouse, put that stuff on you if you're going to be in a wet area that has a lot of mosquitos and you can walk through them with impunity. They won't mess with you at all.
