The Mighty Pearl Jam
« on: November 18, 2013, 05:05:17 AM »
All you kids old enough to truly appreciate Pearl Jam need to catch this tour they are currently on.

Saw them over the weekend in Dallas and Oklahoma City and had my doors blown off.  Electric.  I've seen a million shows over the years

and those 2 have vaulted into the top ten of any show I've ever seen anywhere.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Yep - seen them probably 10-12 times over the years, beginning with a club show at the old Trees in Dallas.
It had been a good 5-6 years since I had seen them.  Sometimes you forget how truly epic their shows can be.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get to Seatle to check out another show before they are gone for another year or so...

Gotta agree with that! Probaly since Ten was released 22+ years ago. Can't say PJ was my favorite Seattle band but they have stood the test of time.

The last time I saw them was back about '92.  Drop in the(Magnuson) Park free concert.
PJ, Cyprus Hill....coulda seen the pipesmoke from outer space when those guys came on ;D
Vedder was doing interviews with those waiting in line at the honey buckets.
During their set, he was hanging/swinging from the scaffolding.  Insane times.
Now that my son and I are seeing shows, this one is on the list.... 8)

I missed them last time they were in Austin and have regretted since.

The Seattle show is sold out but I'm sure you could still find tickets.

A buddy and I took his boat out off the park on Lake Washington and listened to that concert. Yes the cloud wafting over the lake was all we needed :)

Same here.  Saw them at Edgefest in Dallas in 1992.  I still have the "9 out of 10 kids prefer crayons to guns" t-shirt I got at that concert.
