am I missing something?
« on: November 19, 2013, 09:24:09 PM »
Alright, I got new gauges, the 2.5” from dcc, and im trying to wire them in. the diagram I'm looking at shows that the positive end gOes in to the brown white Connecter, did that, but then it shows the - going in to a green connecter, well I can't seem to find it.  I think its supposed to attach to one coming from the headlight, but a green brown comes out of that and the other cable goes to the side of the headlight. Am I missing something here or do I need to wire in some kind of ground?

First make sure the gauge lights work, you can hook the wires directly to a battery. If  the light comes on then, you are either missing 12v at the brown/white wire or have a bad ground. ...Lary

Get a good schematic and meter brown white wire indicates switched power .  Light switch is involved as well as the key switch.
