71 Honda SL350 - anybody have a pdf manual ???
« on: November 20, 2013, 11:09:43 AM »
Title says it all.  Just picked up a 71 SL350 the other day.    Looking for a pdf manual as I'm too cheap & impatient to wait for a book to arrive.

Anyone ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Hey GJ. Way to go on the SL350. They are far a few between. Always liked those bikes especially the 71's I ran across a blue 71 in fair shape earlier in the year but was missing the near impossible to find pipes and both side covers. If it had the original pipes I would of brought it home I'm sure. Their is some pics of it in this forum.
Lets see some pics of your latest purchase ;)

I'll get some pics up.  It is in shockingly good shape.   Original pipes in good shape.
Only missing the left hand contol, but has an aftermarket blinker switch.

I'll have to drain the gas and do the regular maintenance, but I hope to have it running over the next 2 weekends.

Only has 2100 miles on it !

Yer' welcome.......

The SL350 K0 engine is essentially the same as any other CB/CL 350.
The K1/K2 introduced a number of changes - electric start is gone, and the crankshaft was "shortened" (width-wise). The kick start/tranny are completely different, as the K1/K2 can kick start in any gear with the clutch pulled in. Carbs are different, cam is different, frame and running gear are different.

Should you need a K1/K2 crankshaft, I happen to have one in nearly perfect condition.

Are you saying my 73 350 engine will not kick with clutch pulled in?   Sucks on a flattrack if you fall.
