I put that one on the back burner and went with the frame mount oil can. It can be done if someone really wants one.

Nice looking hubs......looks like it makes the conversion so much easier.
May have to make a purchase for one of my projects, in the near future. I will be putting a USD front end on a Benelli six cylinder cafe and this hub would be perfect.

Nice stuff!!

Glad to hear it. One of the hardest thing to do is create a quality product and maintain a reasonable price.

I'm currently dealing with this on a oil can swingarm I've been working on. I want it to be 100% bolt on, use existing oil feed lines, fit 3qts of oil, upgrade to bushing instead of rubber, and have the tubular arms to match the CB750 tube frame.

Hopefully I can complete this swingarm on this project.

www.CognitoMoto.com

Devin,

How about the swingarm without the oiltank for a CB550 and/or CB750?

It looks like the construction is a semi-boxed (aluminum)?

TT400 makes a great looking one for $580 and CMR (in Canada) makes a super high-end race spec one for about $720.

The target price for that was 500. Being an oil can and all. It would be made from steel.

Devin,

That's a great price for the combo piece.

Would you consider making one without the tank -- in other words a boxed or semi-box style swing arm (modern take on the Dresda design)?

Wow. Really impressive stuff happening here. I'm so happy when I learn a simple thing on my little project. I can't imagine doing all this. Hope to be able to one day though.

Don

I've been asked a few time now for something like that. It's funny I design a box swingarm and people want tube so I change to tube and people want box haha

This was the original design

I'd be in for a boxed swing arm if the price is right. Without the oil tank. Been looking for a dresda style one for a while.

Let us know about the swingarm tank.  I'll keep it in mind as an upgrade for my 750 Nine Lives bike.

I'll get some stuff drawn up this weekend and send it off for quoting. The tube I'll need to send out to be bent. I will also need to source a longer axle bolt.

I've heard the progressive ones for $300 aren't worth the money. The next step up is $1000 :0

You could also look into some intermediate steps:  IKON and Works.

Yes the Ikons are great shocks. Their site list out the model number 7610-1296 shock, which is the chrome or black steel, But you can order the model number 7614-1296 which is the alloy body shock. That would fit nicely with your build.
You can order through customer service, or there is a guy who owns a Triumph dealer some where that many have ordered through (he is an Ikon dealer/rep) and gotten a decent price on.

I just can't see putting $1k shocks on the one these bikes. As one member here states it so elegantly - "its like buying a fur coat for a $10 hooker" is it really going to make that much of a difference?

Have to finalize quotes on tube bending but I'm hoping around $350.
