I just took more pictures for the site. I must say I'm really impressed with the quality and crispness of them. I really don't know how else to describe the look and feel. Now I just want this bike completed so I can go enjoy these.

Will you be offering the footpeg bracket you made for sale? I'd like to do rearsets on a 78 750F and those brackets look similar to the styling of stock ones, but with a much better foot position (and look much better).

You might also want to think about making folding and non folding footpegs that will fit the stock bikes. There is a massive lack of options to change the IMHO ugly footpegs!

Devin, everything is looking awesome as usual!!  Do you make extended swingarm and engine mounting bolts to mount the peg brackets??  Was wanting to originally do this, but ended up welding two bosses to the backside of the frame.

Would be interested in buying a set if you make these!

One of the brackets is threaded and the axle bolt threads into it. It was done to retain the stock axle.

Worked all weekend to try and finish this bike before the show in Austin. Still need to wire it up but it's close.


Jugs all cleaned and painted.



New head studs



All done



Semi together



Made a little bracket to hold gauge.









Oil lines run, exhaust and muffler mounted. Went back and forth with exhaust location but looks okay to me.







Need to wiring it maybe I can get it done in the next day or hopefully.

Also, this bike is simply bananas, just like your 550. You have given me a whole lot of inspiration, once I finish my motor build I'll be making a huge purchase from you. Keep up the good work!

Don,

It depends on what you are looking for, tire size, and such. My best advice is to get the tires on there and jack the bike to where you would like it and measure from mounting point to mounting point. You may need to discuss this will me a bit more in detail. Feel free to give me a ring or email.

Saw your bike at the show in Austin this weekend.   Looked absolutely great.  Good show too - I'm planning on having something in there next year - my kinda show.    Didn't really run into too many of the builders - I was thinking they were all at the GP races.   My friend Christian had a bike next to yours - hard to believe it had already been almost 10 years that he built that beast. (Slingshot)

Oh yeah - really digging the 750.  Well done brother.

Thanks! Your buddy has a nice ride as well. I was back and forth all weekend. It's kind of funny. Standing there I would see people check out my ride but thought it might be awkward to walk up and be like "you like? That's my bike" so I just stayed away.

So I've been trying to finalize the design for these oem offset clamps. This design offers "offset adjustment" so it can be 60mm or 45mm. I will probably go ahead and make a 50mm plug as well. That way you can use it on all the CB750's, the CB550, CB500 CB450 and CB350. Those 3 offsets pretty much cover everything. It will also allow you to play around with your offset and see what suits your ridding style.
