2014 CB1100 EX
« on: November 22, 2013, 01:53:50 PM »
Honda recently released info on the 2014 CB1100.  There will be two models of the bike in 2014.
The CB1100 and a new model the CB1100 EX.  The EX has a larger fuel tank, revised side covers.
wire spoke wheels and 2 into 1 exhaust.  Both models now have 6 speeds and ABS.  Colors for the EX
are Black, White and Red.  No one knows yet if it will be released in the USA, but most sources
think it most likely will.

Don't know.  Just found the image soon after the 1100's came out.
I think it's clean.

I just watched a road test of one of these on youtube by a guy
who calls himself "two wheel cager" or something similar. His ride lasted 20 something minutes. When the guy first saw the bike, he "didn't get it",. The whole idea was strange to him. I got "it" right away. What he describes as the ride progresses seems very friendly
and familiar. I think He got "it" by the time the ride was over.
I'd like to own one of the new models with dual exhaust and spoked
wheels. Paint the side covers body color, get the wife on the back,
and see how many miles the thing could inhale in a Sunday. An SOHC
it isn't, but I could get over it. I'd love the chance to crack open
the throttle on that bike. I hope there's a market for it here.
EDIT: I don't know if this guy's a self appointed expert, writer, or?
Found the link if anybody's interested.

I thinks the side covers come painted same color as the tank on EX models.

Very nice bike. But the ridiculously low top speed of the U.S. model (ten miles more than what my BMW does in first gear), renders it useless to me. I don’t get why the top speed has to be significantly lower than that of a 750 Honda from 1969.  Oh well. The CB1100 is still pretty to look at. Especially the ones by White house Japan.

I bought a 2013 a couple of months back and while it's not the fastest 1100 out there, it is one of the best handling street bikes you can buy right off the floor.

Soo 40 years from now the 2013 1100s will have more collectability? Laugh now but only time will tell! Im also into BMX bikes and its nuts what some of those things go for! I would prefer the spoked ex in red myself!

Looks like a photoshop. Look behind the seat and above the handlebars.
That looks amazing though!

I'm not sure why Honda didn't make them like this. I was just checking out the White House website. $3000 for tank and side cover set. They also have seats, fork ears and everything else to make the transformation.

There is one for sale just outside of Seattle for $8000.  I just went to look at it, pretty nice but I think I'll wait for different colors. that red is more of a maroon not one of my favs. Super sweet bike though! And frankly there are very few motor vehicles that have ever been an investment. Its an investment in fun if anything.  ;D
