Now that the Danielle 550 is shaken down, being ridden regularly, and will be my main ride for summer, it's time to start Phase 2 of the Blaster project (and I have to keep up with Cal for bragging right's sake).
I already have my chit in for a Gordon frame kit. I'm planning on cutting the frame to get the head and cylinder out. Going with Wiseco 836 pistons, a Megacycle cam, and go with either a Stage III or IV for the head if Mr. Rieck has availability. I still do not comprehend or appreciate the distinction between a III and IV. I will keep the stock bottom end in tact and sitting in the frame. I'll weld on the frame kit after the head/cylinder is removed. Not quite sure if I'll get CR29s for this phase or run the stock carbs with some slider work.
My plan then is to run the 836 Blaster til a major failure, and then do a frame up build hosting a balanced, lights out 915cc engine (ala Tweakin).
I'll start posting pics as soon as I cut into the frame. In the meantime, the next couple weeks I plan to ride the cr*ap out of the Blaster.
Cheers!
