Since you've got 3 Suzuki's now and the Cooley will be getting most of the attention for a while you might be thinking about thinning out your stable in the future. GS1100E hint, hint ;D

I tell you what, you are welcome to come up and take a ride on any of them, anytime you want.

I looked around, last night after the Cooley arrived, I think six is my limit, space-wise, for now. I was thinking of making an offer on the 550F I've been looking at, but I'm not sure where I would put it.

Ok!  Looks like a heat wave is expected on Sunday?  Only six?  You'll need to secure additional shop space!

And six bikes is a lot for me. When do I have time to ride them all?

Sounds like something the wife would say!   It's all about priorities. For instance, I never shop with my wife anymore, that allows time for bikes!

Nice Looking GS.  I just picked up a '80 1000G for cheap and am in process of repairing.  I'm thinking of picking up one of the Wes Cooley fairings for it as it seems to fit so well with the overall look and feel of the bike.

Cheers, Joe

Yeah, the fairing should look good with the G. If you need to know where to get the fairing, let me know I know a guy who makes them, I bought one for my '82 1100E.

I know this is not fair to ask this question so soon, you haven't even got a chance to ride the Cooley yet have you. But of the 3 Suzuki's is the Wes Cooley going to be your favorite :-\. Nice pics. I've done the same thing HD during bad weather, I'll roll a bike out of the garage take a few outside shots and roll it back in ;D

Doubt he rode it but hope he fired it up!  How's that V&H(?) exhaust sound?

Looks great in the snow!

I'll say this, the Cooley is by far the cleanest used bike I've ever owned. The more I look at it, the more impressed I am with the care it received from the previous owner. I thought my GS 1100E was the end-all bike that I would own, but even without riding it, it's getting alot of my attention. When I get a chance to ride it, I'll know better which will be the best fit for me.

Yep, I've fired it up.... the V&H sounds great, not as loud as the Kerker on my GS1100E, but a nice deep tone.

I thought the blue & white colors went well with the white snow.  :D

Hey Dog.....my buddy sent me a message a couple days ago asking if I wanted a '82 GS1100.   [His father was an avid rider and recently passed away]

He was asking about value and I really dont know the Suzis. I'm waiting on pics, the bike is in FL, I may be going there for Spring Break? Bike was stored inside, carbs drained and has 11K miles.  Collectible??

Yep... My guess at final price is $7,500.00. That auction is being watched with great interest over at the Suzuki GS forum.  ;) We all would like to see it go for alot of money, makes our worth more. This one is pretty pristine, extremely low mileage, all original, a collector's dream..... I would rather buy a rider, than a museum piece.

So... your friend's bike is a GS1100E?

I still haven't received info or pics on it.  It was his (recently deceased) fathers bike in Florida, and my buddy is back in TX now, so who knows??   I'll see him Sunday, he's having a big Super Bowl party.

Yep, that's a G, shaft drive, indestructible engine, comfy ride..... more than worth the price of admission! They have a decent following. If I could have one at $700.00, I'd have it.

I believe it was last run a year ago, the old guy was good about draining the carbs.
Only 11K mikes.  It's in Florida and I'm going to FL next month but only for four days and not in the same area.  Might pass this along to my nephew who's been bugging me to sell him a bike. But, if he gets in a bad wreck, I would feel slightly responsible, so I am torn?

How old is your nephew? This is a big, heavy bike..... a handful for us "old" riders. If I were you, I'd find a way to get it home, then toil over who gets the bike.  ;)

You could also let me buy it.... I know how to love Suzy's... ;D And I know a guy who would pick it up for me.....

He's 26 and has experience riding sport bikes, this isn't a "cool retro" bike that the young guys normall want? (Haven't sent pics to him yet)
It has a title, somewhere, they will have to locate it.
So, with this limited info, what would you value you at and make an offer of, Dog?
