The good news is you don't have to pull the head to remove the tensioner assembly (if I recall correctly). The other good news is that since you didn't have any noticeable chain noise, the cam guide blade should still be in tact, meaning you don't have to pull the head and lift the cylinders up. That is unless you WANT to pull the head. Which wouldn't be a bad idea.
The only bad news is that's the more expensive part if you decide to buy brand new, about $90.
