What are the parts and aftermarket availability for the 74' CB 360 ?? Are they a good platform to build from ??
Just my opinion, and speaking in general terms, as there are always individual bikes that are pretty good bikes -
As with any bike of a limited run, there are reasons they were only produced for a couple of years...........before you spend money and time, consider what those reasons could be......
On something like a CB200, it's because it was just too small a bike for the market of the time, everyone was crazy for 4-cylinders and big displacement. But they're really good, dependable bikes.
That market was a blow to a lot of the Honda twins, 360 included. But the 360 had other reasons too, mostly related to a weak top end design.
Top end parts haven't been available for decades, as mentioned in a previous post.
In other respects, like running gear and general feel, they ride a lot like a CB/CL350.
If you can find a good runner in decent condition, it will be an acceptable ride - for a while.
I turn 360 customers away, it's just too much hassle to work on them, they sit around the shop for months (or longer) waiting on parts.
