Quick tapered steering bearing question
« on: December 01, 2013, 06:48:18 AM »
I know this has been covered a million times and I did my research, just wanted 100% confirmation before I forge ahead.

I'm about to install my new races and just wanted to make sure that go in correctly

The smaller race goes in the top and the larger race goes in the bottom. Correct?

And the taper always goes on the INSIDE of the head. Correct?

cheers!

They only go in one way mate. You will see as soon as you pull out your factory races. Taper will sit into the headtube.

Ha yeah as soon as I got to my garage it all made perfect sense. Pretty self explanatory.

Got it all installed, unfortunately have to replace my top triple tree adjusting nut, mine was super dented.
