If you don't have a blinker relay it won't blink...

Also there are a lot of threads covering this but basically you gotta go get an EP35(?) electronic flasher. Three prong style and you use the extra ground conveniently dangling under the left hand side cover

You need a relay for them to blink.
You'll need an electronic relay for LEDs to blink.
The current draw for leds is not sufficient to activate the standard relay.
Also, be sure your batter is in good order.  A weak battery will also give the same result.

I have both orange and both blue hooked up the their respective blinkers

I believe K3's and up have running light blinkers that come on with the headlight. At least that's what mine do...

I had a similar issue while rewiring mine. Having never owned a CB550 (much less any motorcycle) I was baffled as to why my front turn signals came on and stayed on...lol. I even posted a thread on this site asking why they did this. DOH! Then someone explained to me that they are running lights. OOOOOHHHHHH! I felt like a real bonehead then. Suffice to say, they work great. :) Now, ask me about the rear parking light and ignition switch...  ::)
