I found this on another forum, and asked permission to post it here under two conditions.

Saw this posted in some CC thread and it reminded me of my dads.

But my dad hand built his in the mid 70's at his shop in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.
Sometimes I wish he never got out of the biz of making and customizing bikes.

*edit*
Specs:
Here goes Chris. This is as much as I remember:
70-71 Honda 750
Custom painted Black w/ genuine gold leaf flames and red striping
Engine bored to 836cc w/low torque Weber cam. 1/4 mile times in low 10's
Borianni alloy 19" front and 16x3.5 rear rims laced with Barnett stainless steel spokes
Complete chromed engine case covers  Stainless steel Allen bolts replace all Phillips Head bolts.
Retuned carbs with high flow jets and chromed steel carb velocity tubes
Fiberglass Works cafe front fender, gas tank w/customized gas cap, chromed petcock, and cafe seat w/ custom made fiberglass license mount and Drag Specialties rectangular chrome brake lamp.
Drag style handlebar w/ custom hand grips and mirror
Dual chromed bullet turn signal lamps.
Dual Lucas halogen head lamps w/custom made chromed mounting bracket.
Dual disc brakes w/ chromed calipers and braided stainless steel brake lines.
Custom high pitch chrome horn
Custom dual exhaust system(can't recall maker)
Chromed high tech shock absorbers (can't recall maker)
Much chrome throughout; chain guard, brake and clutch levers, brake reservoir, front end down tubes and lower legs.

Hard to imagine that ONLY 43 years has past since my guys and I did this custom Honda. (I don't think OCC Pauli had been born yet) Love to ya, Dad

My dad built the motor by hand and increased the size to 843cc's like any person who builds/mods it never ends.. He changed the pipes to some type of 4 into 1 drag pipe in the pic below

Dad gave me these photos over Thanksgiving and I told him I was going to throw them on Pirate for the world to see. I was around 7 when he had his shop and dont remember all the details on the bike but do know that at the time he spared no expense it was his "show bike" for the shop.

Check out the front end.. Dual disk, stainless lines, some type of super strong/light weight Italian spoke wheels he special ordered.

His shop that was my grandfather Rex's (where the name came from) before Dad took over in the late 60's early 70's

He and mom are living the good life now in South Carolina at the beach... Love ya Pop!

I was told that I can repost as long as I post the pic of his dad and the fish, and I provide a link back to this thread.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.
