Rear Upper Engine Bolt
« on: December 02, 2013, 08:32:28 PM »
I recall we used to replace this long bolt with another one that was Grade 8. Is this still practice to get a stronger motor mount?

I made a double upper right rear mount flange and used a longer (bottom) bolt but haven't heard of the grade 8 upgrade, where would you find one?

Back in those halcyon days we just took the bolt to a metric bolt store and bought a near-stock appearing but longer Grade 8 bolt and replaced the stock one.....
